Bit Rental Program

As all riders know, sometimes choosing the right bit for your pony or horse can be half the battle in training them. Are you unsure of which size bit your pony or horse needs? Confused as to what mouthpiece they would like best or if they would prefer an eggbutt over a loose ring? Our bit rental program can help you make that decision without the guesswork. For a small rental fee, you can take a bit of your choice on trial for one week (7days) to get an idea of what is best for you and your dressage partner. If you and your pony are happy with your selection, you keep the bit. If the bit is not the perfect match for you, send it back for a full refund of the purchase price. 

To rent a bit, simply choose the bit you would like to try and add it to your cart, then select "Bit Rental Program," and add that to your cart as well.

Only 1 bit may be rented at a time. 

The Bit Rental Program:

Pay for the bit, plus the $20 rental fee. Try the bit on your pony for up to 7 days (upon receiving). If the bit works, great! You will receive a $20 store credit for the rental fee within a few weeks after the rental time frame has ended.

If the bit is not the right fit for your pony, send an email within the 7 day time period for a return authorization. Clean the bit and return with all original labels for a full refund of the purchase price.

Any bit returned without packaging and tags or cleaned may be subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Any bit with excessive marks on it will not be accepted for a return. 

After 7 days, your bit purchase is final and non-refundable. The rental fee is non-refundable. The Collected Pony reserves the right to refuse the return of any rental bit that is damaged or dirty as determined by The Collected Pony. All of our bits are sanitized upon return. 

Rubber, plastic and Nathe bits are not included in the rental program due to the difficulty in sanitizing and the risk of damage to the mouthpiece.   

The agreement by and between the person placing the order (purchaser) and The Collected Pony is entered into as of the date the order is placed. Purchaser agrees to return the bit postmarked no later than 7 days after the bit has been received (due date). Purchaser is responsible for the return shipping fees. Purchaser agrees that after the due date the bit purchase shall be final and the purchaser shall have no further right to return the bit. Rental fee is non-refundable. The Collected Pony reserves the right to refuse the return of any rental bit that is dirty or damaged in the opinion of The Collected Pony. If the bit is deemed nonreturnable, the purchaser will be notified and will be invoiced for the shipping to send the bit back to the purchaser to keep.
